Herrick Dental looks forward to treating family members of all ages. Family dentistry encompasses a number of services including regular cleanings to keep your smile healthy and comprehensive exams to ensure dental issues are handled in their early stages. Just as each member of your family has unique characteristics of personality and looks, they too, have different dental requirements. We have extensive experience treating a variety of dental needs from very young kids up through the senior years. We enjoy tailoring treatment plans specific to each individual.

Dr. Herrick welcomes your children to our family dental practice. We will see them for their very first dental visit when their teeth begin emerging. We love the opportunity to encourage their love for going to the dentist! As your child grows, we will customize their treatment to meet their health level, dental needs, and comfort level. If restorations such as fillings become necessary, we always make sure to treat your little one with the same care and compassion we have for our own kids. We believe in gentle dentistry and that having a filling can be a pain-free and anxiety-free experience for your child.

Alongside regular dental cleanings and exams, common pediatric, preventive treatments are dental sealants and fluoride treatments, which can help prevent dental decay. Preventing dental decay in children’s teeth, especially the back molar teeth, is often a challenge. Dental Sealants offer added protection against the often child-like behaviors which can contribute to decay (like poor hygiene habits and diet).

Diagnostic images and monitoring oral health changes allow us to treat any conditions that arise early when they are the easiest to treat. However, should the need arise for a specialist, we work with several Pediatric Dentists, Orthodontists, and other specialists for the best children’s dental treatment.

Communication with parents is always our number one priority! At each appointment, we will share what we see and work with you to maintain your child’s happy, healthy smile. Our partnership with parents gives your child an excellent start to maintaining a healthy smile for a lifetime.
